The position will be responsible for important tasks, including:
- Prepare and execute litigation strategies for assigned cases

This is a hybrid position and requires the candidate to commute to the office for meeting days in addition to two weeks of in-person training in our Buckhannon, WV location. You must live within two driving hours of one of our locations, Clarksburg, Buckhannon or Parkersburg, WV.
We are seeking a talented litigation paralegal with high standards, positive energy, and a desire to deliver exceptional service to our clients to join our firm. The successful candidate will have at least one year of experience as a litigation paralegal, two years preferred. Responsibilities
A Klie Law Offices Litigation Legal Assistant will be someone who:
- Interacts with clients and other parties and builds relationships with them by phone, email, and in person
- Maintains and updates our case management system
- Manages calendars for contingency practice areas. This includes: scheduling appointments, entering tasks and deadlines, and ensuring the Firm and team’s calendars are accurately maintained and organized in a logical and efficient manner
- Retrieves and delivers emails and voicemails and ensures that copies of messages are documented in the Firm’s files (paper, electronic, or both)
- Interacts with the courts and administrative agencies regarding hearings, motions, and other appearances, becoming the courts’ primary point of contact with the firm for all administrative and scheduling issues
- Prepares and sends legal correspondence as directed by attorneys; puts documents typed initially by attorneys into final form, ready to be delivered to courts, clients, and co-counsel and opposing counsel
- Ensures that the attorney has all of the relevant materials ready when the attorney has meetings or court appearances
- Draft necessary notices of all relative scheduled events
- Drafts letters of representation, requests for records, and subpoenas
- Enters time and billing data
- Make copies/scans documents and preparation of binders as needed upon request
- Processes outgoing mail for contingency attorneys and paralegals
